Founded in 2004 from the collaboration between different associations of voluntaries that above all takes care of disabled, the social cooperative Il Punto propose itself as a synthesis and contact element between entities, institutions, the reality of associations, of the voluntary work and the social entrepreneurship.
The cooperative, active in the piemonte region, work mainly in the following fields: transport for elderly people and persons with handicap, administration of Daytime activity centre for persons with physical-motion handicaps, administration of Territorial education service for persons with physical-motion handicaps, promotion of work programmes for disabled persons, introduction of teleworking for operators with physical-motion handicaps and social secretary services and assistance to voluntary associations.
The joint and several transports, activated in 2005, are managed by the 119 net, that receives the requests from the users, and organize the transports based on the predefined criteria. The service can be booked by calling the green number 800 890 119 from 20 to 3 days before.
On request and reservation, the cooperative offers its transport services also for tourist visits in the piemonte region.

INFORMATION ON STAFF SKILLS
Staff education:
All of the staff that accomplishes the service has specific training for receiving, relation and transporting persons with specific demands.
The drivers also has a good experience in transporting people in wheel chairs or with handicap and normally give a support and help to the passengers that needs it.
The staff has been trained to use specific support means to overcome barriers (i.e. stair lifts).
Activities for specific groups:
The transport service med equipped means is active, on request, on the whole piemonte area.
The service must be booked and all the details agreed with the operators at least 10 days before.
